PASTOR RICHARD TAYLOR'S RESPONSE TO BLOGS QUESTIONING THE "WELSH OUTPOURING."

So how does Pastor Richard Taylor of the Victory church in Cwmbran respond to anyone daring to raise questions and to encourage debate about the so-called "Welsh Outpouring?"  We now have the answer, in the form of an email he sent to Neville Stephens of the Zion Christian Fellowship in Talywain and the Prophetic Witness Movement, which was published on Neville's blog on 18 June, 2013:

My dear brother

Why do you find it fitting to speak negatively about what The Lord is doing through our local church. We have seen hundreds of people come to faith in Christ currently being discipled and have planted several churches in Wales to reach the lost. I find blogs such as yours brought to my attention by our church family both unloving and unhealthy. Wales needs a an awakening whilst chapels are closing down we are humbly seeking to make Jesus known to as many as possible.

The nit picking is more secondary issues that do not remove the fundamentals of our faith. We have not criticised you at any time and pray for all churches in Wales. I'm saddened by the response of those who claim to be brothers in Christ who have nothing better to do than tear down the marvellous things  God is doing. We admit we are not perfect but are doing the best we can to allow The Lord to move. Many people I'm Cwmbran have been effected and come to faith including while families and our own church has grown by over 150 new converts surely we ought to rejoice. We have no connections with past revivals or ever called it one as you state. I will pray for you my dear brother that The Lord will bless you and your family and church.  We are humbly seeking to His will. I don't really know of you but I'm sure you are a Godly man, pray for us.

Blessing

Pastor Richard

Here is my own response to this very revealing email from the man who heads up this movement, which Neville graciously published on his blog today:

Hi Neville!

I do hope you won't mind me writing to you yet again on the subject of the so-called "Welsh Outpouring!"

Returning to your blog today, I read Pastor Richard Taylor's message, and your response to him which I thought was very fair and balanced, and indeed extremely gracious! I would personally like to thank you for being prepared to open, and to continue to allow, proper debate on this very important issue. There is much at stake here!

He says, "I find blogs such as yours... both unloving and unhealthy."

Really? Since when has it become "unloving and unhealthy" to heed the Scripture that urges us to "believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God." (1 John 4:1)

Since when has it become "unloving and unhealthy" to "earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints?" (Jude v3).

Just because we WANT something to really be what we perceive it to be, does NOT of itself make it so! And if we deceive ourselves, we in turn deceive others. And such deception carries with it the intolerance of those who are not similarly persuaded. Although Pastor Richard speaks of humility, it is actually willful ARROGANCE to be so wantonly dismissive of legitimate questions being raised out of genuine concern about the origins and direction of this purported move of the Spirit!

Nit-picking??? Secondary issues??? These issues are VITAL and of PRIMARY importance in ascertaining if this is truly a move of God, or a Satanic deception!!!

He laments that he is "saddened by the response of those who claim to be brothers in Christ who have nothing better to do than tear down the marvelous thing God is doing." We can well note that he says of those who raise questions that they CLAIM to be brothers in Christ, not that they ARE, and that as TRUE brothers they are doing what TRUE BROTHERS should do, which is to - as noted - "try the spirits!" Such scornful and scathing dismissal of watchmen doing their job as having "nothing better to do" is, I fear, completely unworthy of any Christian pastor and shows him up in a very bad light indeed!

On 17 June, the Victory church hosted Nathan Morris of "Shake the Nations." Nathan Morris partnered with John Kilpatrick to commence Alabama's "Bay Revival" which is essentially the sad continuation of Kilpatrick's leading of the FALSE Brownsville, Pensacola "Outpouring!"

This week, 26 & 27 June, sees Victory hosting Roy Fields, the worship leader most associated with the "Florida Outpouring" and a big buddy of not only the nefarious Todd Bentley, but also Rodney Howard Browne the "Holy Ghost Bartender", two of the most notorious FALSE leaders (actually occult practitioners) of the contemporary "Church!"

Surely, an essential part of a pastor's role is to be a responsible gatekeeper of the fold. He has to do his best to keep the flock safe from harm. He has to be very vigilant about who enters. But here we have a shepherd who frankly is woefully negligent of such duties. And the wolves are being warmly welcomed in! (A wolf may bleat, and he may yet wear a fleece, but is he any less a wolf?) Is THIS being LOVING and HEALTHY?

The Pastor of Victory Church does NOT want questions asked about the movement there. Neither does the Enemy! The last thing he wants is for his plans to stage yet another of his great counterfeit revivals to be exposed and thwarted!!!

As Jesus said, we need to be "wise as serpents, and harmless as doves." (Matthew 10:16).

In His Name,
Rob Thomas, Merthyr Tydfil

  1. Brother, I am not an attendee of Victory Chirch, I attend a Pentecostal church in Pontllanfraith, but may I just point out that having visited Victory many times, I have heard the uncompromising Gospel preached on each occasion.

    1. I totally agree, wise words Nathan.

    2. Point is, no preacher of the Gospel is immune to deception. There are legitimate concerns about the so-called "Welsh Outpouring" documented here (and elsewhere), which it really would be wise to check out, and spiritually remiss not to!

  2. Sir, please provide details of how The Lord is blessing and leading you in your own Church. Your report may well be correct, but we have to test all spirits, including the spirit in which you write. I will pray. In the meantime, The Lord hasn't called you to be the sheriff of the Church, so to blog messages of blessing would help indeed to fulfil the law of Christ. According to The Lord, anything unfruitful should, and will be cut off, we both would do well to remember that. God bless you, Nathan

    1. Hi Nathan!

Thank you for your comments. But I must note that your statement that "The Lord hasn't called you to be the sheriff of the Church" tells me exactly where you are coming from! The stated aim of this blog is to "identify and address areas of apostasy, error and deception in the Church, such as affect Wales in particular." You obviously wish me to change the purpose of this blog, and I'm afraid that I am not prepared to do that. I am blogging details of legitimate concerns, which anyone can in turn check out for themselves to test the spirit in which I write! I quote facts, which may be verified by anyone who so wishes. They may then reach their own conclusions on the matter.

Just for the record, I have been a born-again Christian for nearly 40 years, saved in a Baptist Church and baptized in a Pentecostal Church and fully believe in the gifts of the Spirit. I am not currently a member of any particular Fellowship, but actively fellowship on-line and indeed have the pleasure of running a Christian Website and YouTube Channel apart from this Blog. You ask how the Lord is blessing me, and I can honestly say that having the great privilege of up to a few hundred people from every corner of the globe accessing these videos and articles every day is a truly wonderful blessing indeed! And all glory and praise be to God, who alone gives the increase to what we plant and water! I am nothing, and He is everything!

I have no desire to be antagonistic, or to be controversial for the sake of it, but this is not the time to soft-pedal on major issues. Folks may agree or disagree with what I have to say; we all by the grace of God have free will. But I am honour-bound to sound the shofar when I see danger, for if I don't then I am personally accountable for failing to give the warning!

In the Name that is above all names,
      Rob.

    2. WOW, you write "I am not currently a member of any particular Fellowship" yet the Bible clearly tells us in Hebrews 10:25 to "Not forsake the assembling of ourselves together" that God gave, "some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ" Ephesians 4:11-12 I find it odd to say the least that a person who for what ever reason? is not a member of a local Church, yet thinks they are called to "correct" others who are doing what they believe God has called them to do, if you have concerns about things in the Church then the Bible clearly tells us in Galatians 6:1 "Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted" I note that nowhere in your comments do you say that God has directed you to take this stance, I can therefore only assume that you are taking on this role for your own gratification and because you fell "honour-bound" could I again point out that if you consider your-self a spiritual person that you follow the instructions of Galatians 6:1.

    3. Hi Peter!

Strangely enough, I find no spirit of meekness in your rebuke!

Just for the record, my non-attendance at a building erroneously called a church does not mean that I do not link up with other believers.

Sir, you can assume what you will about me and my stance. That's OK. You can consider that I do this work for my own gratification. The Lord knows my heart. There are others who take the opposite view to yourself, and I truly thank the Lord for their kind encouragement and prayers. Why do you think I need to improperly boast about what God has given me to do? Others may judge that work for themselves, and draw their own conclusions, as you have.

May I humbly suggest that you look again at Galatians 6:1, and apply it to yourself, before seeking to challenge others with it?

      In Jesus' Name,
      Rob.

  3. God bless all those who say all manner of evil against you. Jesus was accused of worse heresy so thank God for a church that is witnessing a loving pastor reaching hundreds of souls for Christ and the kingdom being expanded. The fact you don't even attend a church reveals that you are unaccountable and just out to cause trouble. Find a church serve the pastor and reach the lost.

  4. Hi!

Can't address you by name, as you've chosen to remain anonymous in leaving this comment! Somebody who says "God bless all those who say all manner of evil against you" shows the spirit in which he writes, and it is not the Spirit of God! Do you really think God BLESSES EVIL??? Wow!!!

Do you not know that it is the pastor who serves the people, not the people who serve the pastor? I serve the Lord, and am fully accountable to Him. Stone the watchman for his warning if you will, but accusing him of being "just out to cause trouble" makes YOU accountable for your response, sir!

    Rob Thomas.

    2. "The above person" (who writes anonymously like yourself) says "God BLESS all those who say all manner of EVIL against you." So he clearly believes that God blesses evil. In fact, he seems to be misquoting Matthew 5:11, which reads, "Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake." This is the Scriptural truth, not the Scriptural twisting of the truth!

P.S. Why do you, like "the above person" not see fit to attach your name to your comments?

      In His Name,

  5. Hi Rob

I would like to add my heartfelt support for what you are doing on this blog in exposing the falseness of this 'Outpouring' in Wales. I urge anyone who has issues with what Rob is doing to re-read the letters of Paul to the churches in Galatia and Corinth. Such moves of a false spirit are not new! And Rob is one of the few voices sounding the trumpet to warn British Christians that they are being deceived.

I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:
Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.
But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
    Galatians 1:6-8

    A wonderful and horrible thing is committed in the land;
The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will ye do in the end thereof?
    Jeremiah 5:31

  6. Hi Ruth!

Thank you so much for your willing support for what I'm trying to do in setting up and running this blog! Such backing is a wonderful God-given encouragement to me, and is very greatly appreciated! Such a comfort and reassurance, knowing there are like-minded, discerning believers out there who are similarly concerned about the Church's "Falling Away" in this country!

    Diolch yn fawr iawn!

Rob you seem to be not attached to the vine and a troublemaker. You would do well to go to Cwmbran and ask those who have recently come to Christ. In particular you should find the man who came out of the wheelchair, raised it above his head, and ran round the church. If you persist in cursing this pastor in the face of the evidence of the grace and power of God you will be guiltt of blphemy against the Holy Spirit.

    1. Hi Matthew!

Thank you for your comments on my blog posts. Watchmen have always been called troublemakers by the very people they are trying to warn! I take great encouragement from your railing comments against me! I'd be far more worried if folks had only nice things to say about me!

Concerning the gentleman you refer to who was allegedly healed, fellow watchman and blogger Neville Stephens has testified that he has it on good authority from no less than four independent sources that the 'miraculous healing' of Paul Haynes is bogus. He was not in constant need of the wheelchair! And, sir, I curse nobody! You want to accuse me of blasphemy against the Holy Spirit for presenting legitimate concerns? May the Lord rebuke you! If I see the danger, and do not give the warning, the Lord will hold me to account for my silence. In ignoring the warning, and indeed casting sharp stones at the one who gives the warning, then you have made yourself accountable to Him.

      In His Name,
      Rob.

  8. I only know that, having been a Spirit filled Christian for over 30 years, based in a sound Pentecostal church, I have been to Cwmbran over a dozen times and watched it on Live stream many more and my love and desire to serve our Saviour Jesus has been greatly intensified by what is happen ing at Victory church. I have only ever heard them preach the gospel as we know it and many people have been saved and are living for Jesus, rescued from the hand of the enemy. Nothing we have seen or heard has made me think it is a deception. Yes, we do need to test everything and I have but have a peace about what is happening there..Yours in Christ. Gill

    1. Hi Gill!

Thanks for your comment. But there are many and very real concerns about Richard Taylor and Victory Church, some of which have been voiced here on this blog and many more elsewhere! With all due respect, to have a peace about what is happening in Cwmbran is to completely ignore all the rapidly mounting evidence that the "Welsh Outpouring" is indeed an End Times deception, and needs to be exposed as such!

      Rob.

  9. APOSTASY DENIAL?

Apostasy denial is one of Satan many deceptions.
Satan told Eve that she would not die if she ate from the forbidden tree. Eve ate and died, and Satan is still lying today.

Hebrews 6:4-6 When you find men who have been enlightened, who have experienced salvation and received the Holy Spirit, who have known the wholesome nourishment of the Word of God and touched the spiritual resources of the eternal world and who then fall away, it proves impossible to make them repent as they did at first. For they are re-crucifying the Son of God in their own souls, and by their conduct exposing him to shame and contempt.(The New Testament in Modern English by J.B. Phillips)

Hebrews 6:4-6 But what about people who turn away after they have already seen the light and have received the gift from heaven and have shared in the Holy Spirit? What about those who turn away after they have received the good message of God and the powers of the future world? There is no way to bring them back. What they are doing is the same as nailing the Son of God to a cross and insulting him in public!(Contemporary English Version)

Hebrews 6:4-6 After people have left the way of Christ, can you make them change their lives again? I am talking about people who once learned the truth, received God’s gift, and shared in the Holy Spirit. They were blessed to hear God’s good message and see the great power of his new world. But then they left it all behind, and it is not possible to make them change again. That’s because those who leave Christ are nailing him to the cross again, shaming him before everyone.(ERV-Easy to Read Version)

Hebrews 6:4-6 It is impossible to restore the changed heart of the one who has fallen from faith—who has already been enlightened, has tasted the gift of new life from God, has shared in the power of the Holy Spirit, and has known the goodness of God’s revelation and the powers of the coming age. If such a person falls away, it’s as though that one were crucifying the Son of God all over again and holding Him up to ridicule.(THE VOICE)

It takes a skilled professional, and willing subjects, to convince men that apostasy does not apply to Christians.

    1. Hi Mr. O'Connor!

Thanks for your comment, but I regret to have to inform you that you are sadly and badly deceived. Very far from being the only one, unfortunately. There are many who see Mr. Taylor through rose-tinted glasses. Fortunately there are also many who see him for what he really is, know the reality behind the illusion. I sincerely hope that one day you too might see past the disguise, the face of the real Mr. Taylor behind the mask.
